Dillsburg Open

SATURDAY – October 17, 2009


3 Round Swiss System, Open G/80, with 5 second delay.
Calvary United Methodist Church Family Life Center
203 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA 17019.


Event Day Late Registration: 8:30am – 9:00am.
[Note: Pre-registered players will be paired automatically, and need not arrive early (prior to round 1) to check-in.]
Entry Fee: $20 if postmarked by OCT 8, $25 later.
$5 PSCF membership required for PA residents.


Open Section Prizes: $100-$50 (based on 18 entries)
Class Prizes will be awarded based on entries.
At least $40 + $20 in chess merchandise in each class or combined class with 4 or more participants.  Prizes will be increased if more than 18 players enter the Open Section.  Round Times: 9:30am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm.


Special Open Section door prize drawings for merchandise will be held immediately prior to round 3.

Unrated Game/30 Section – Open to all unrated non-USCF members, however, only non-USCF members who have never been members of the USCF are eligible for first place prize.  PSCF & USCF memberships are not required for this section.


Entry Fee: $10. If postmarked by OCT 8; $15 after OCT 8 and at the site. First Place:  One Year USCF & PSCF memberships with Chess Life.
Additional merchandise prizes will be awarded based on entries.

Additional event note:  Since this event is being sponsored by a church, the pastor will open the event with a brief prayer and information about the church, along with free bibles and Christian books will be available for anyone interested.
